Workshop and vehicles alight

Firefighters were called to a workshop and a number of vehicles alight in a yard in Stondon Massey early this morning (Monday 5 July).

When fire crews arrived they reported that the workshop, which measured approximately 15m x 15m, was completely alight.

Firefighters worked hard to tackle the fire and stop it spreading. The fire was extinguished by 5:20am, and a number of fire crews were able to leave the scene.

The remaining firefighters worked to extinguished all remaining hot spots.

The cause of the fire was investigated and recorded as deliberate.
