Woman released from car following collision with tree

Firefighters have freed a woman from the scene of a road traffic collision this afternoon, when a car collided with a tree in Chelmsford.

Crews were called to a road traffic collision which happened on Ingatestone Road at around 1:07pm today.

On arrival, firefighters reported that a car had collided with a tree, and a woman was trapped in her vehicle.

Crews used specialist equipment to release the casualty and she was left in the care of the Ambulance Service by 2:10pm.
