what3words helps firefighters rescue pony from water

Firefighters used what3words to find a pony that was in difficulty in the water in Ulting earlier today.

A member of the public had been walking nearby when they came across the pony and its owner struggling to get the pony out of the water.

The caller had used what3words to direct our control room to the incident.

hears.brings.firepower were the three words that directed our crews to the pony.

Two animal rescue swimmers waded into the water and used a head harness and long line to help the pony swim back to the edge where it was left in the care of a vet.

Have you downloaded what3words?

what3words is a free smartphone app that helps you easily and accurately describe your location.

The app developers have broken the world down into trillions of 3m by 3m squares, each with a unique three-word address. These three words can then be used to pinpoint your location more accurately when sending emergency services to you.

If you want to feel safe on your travels knowing that emergency services will be able to find you easily, download the what3words app today at https://w3w.page.link/4ozM
