Two people rescued from flood water
Crews rescued two people from flood water at Buttsbury Wash.
We were called to the road, between Ingatestone and Billericay, today at 8.05am after a vehicle got stuck in the flooded road.
Crews from Brentwood and Leigh attended and used a water rescue sled to bring two people, who couldn't get to safety themselves and were distressed, to dry land at 9.06am.
Station Manager Jason Gould said: "If you see flood water, turn around and find another route. Remember just 2ft of water is enough to float a car.
"If there has been heavy rain or thunderstorms are forecast, plan your journey and be prepared."
Crews from Brentwood and Billericay also attended Buttsbury Wash on Sunday at 8.54pm after three vehicles got stuck, but no-one was trapped.
