Shed fire spreads to four gardens and rear of house
Firefighters worked to extinguish a shed fire that had spread to four gardens and the rear of a house in Pitsea this afternoon.
Crews were called to a shed fire in Bradbourne Way, Pitsea at 12:38pm.
On arrival, crews reported that a shed fire had spread along the fence line of four gardens and was beginning to affect the windows and facias of a house.
Crews worked quickly to prevent the fire spreading into the house and further gardens.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by 1:04pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental due to an electrical fault.
The rear of the house suffered a cracked window and doors as well as damage to the fascias and external cladding. Several fence panels and a garden were destroyed in the fire.
