Crews have left the scene in the care of the farmer and will revisit the site throughout the day and evening to ensure the hotspots are cooled.

One crew remained at the scene overnight to monitor the fire and will remain at the scene throughout today as the fire burns under control.

One crew will remain at a time throughout the night to monitor the fire while it burns under control.
Firefighters have been at the scene of stack fire in Castle Hedingham since the early hours of this morning.
On-call firefighters from Sible Hedingham and Halstead were initially called to the incident at 3:27am to reports of a stack fire.
On arrival, crews reported that approximately 700 tonnes of baled straw was on fire.
Throughout the day, crews have been monitoring the scene while the bales burn in a controlled environment.
One pump will remain at the scene until the evening to monitor the fire and protect surrounding risks.
