Outbuilding fire

Update 10pm

After working with a local resident using a digger to remove pallets from inside the building, crews extinguished the fire by 9:30pm.

Update 8:45pm

Firefighters are currently at the scene of an outbuilding fire in Theydon Garnon. 

We were called at 7:08pm after reports that a fire could be seen from the M11 and the M25.

With difficult access to a water supply, four crews were sent to the scene where an outbuilding measuring 70 metres by 30 metres was on fire.

Crews have been working with a local resident to remove pallets from inside the building using a forklift to extinguish the fire in sections. 

Firefighters have the fire under control and are currently working to monitor any hot spots at the scene. 

We’re currently at the scene of an outbuilding fire in Epping Lane, Theydon Garnon. 

We’ve had calls from people who can see the fire from the M11 and M25. 

We currently have four crews at the scene working to extinguish the fire and will provide updates when we can.
