Garage fire
Crews were called to a garage in Braintree after reports of a fire.
On arrival on-call firefighters from Braintree and Coggeshall reported the garage was about 50% alight.
Firefighters worked hard to extinguish the fire quickly, stopping it spreading to nearby properties.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental or deliberate both possibilities.
Crew Manager Sharon Blute from Braintree Fire Station said: "We had two on-call crews who arrived at the scene quickly and worked to prevent the fire spreading to other garages. We’re recruiting on-call firefighters at Braintree and Coggeshall fire stations, if you live or work within 5 minutes of either station, please consider applying. It’s such a rewarding role and you’ll be paid to help make your community safe."
