Firefighters tackle huge field fire
Firefighters were called to a field fire in Woodham Walter.
Firefighters worked very hard to contain and extinguish the fire which when they arrived, was rapidly spreading across the field. The field had just been harvested so was very dry and the fire spread quickly through the cut stubble. Firefighters surrounded the fire to ensure the fire didn't spread to homes and buildings nearby.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 7:30pm. The cause of the fire was recorded as accidental.
