Crews tackle warehouse fire
UPDATE 4PM
The fire was fully extinguished shortly before 3pm.
An investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
Crews are tackling a warehouse fire on the Essex/Hertfordshire border.
We were called to Stubbins Hall Lane, Nazeing today at 11am and crews from Waltham Abbey, Loughton, Epping, Harlow, Cheshunt (Hertfordshire), Hertford (Hertfordshire), and two from Enfield (London) are in attendance, along with an Aerial Ladder Platform (Grays), a Water Bowser, which supplies high quantities of water, (Corringham) and an Incident Command Unit (Witham).
Group Manager Mark Eaglestone said: "Three industrial units are completely alight. Crews are making good progress, but we expect to be here for several hours.
"We are working closely with the Environment Agency to protect the water course and with Essex Police, who have closed a number of roads in the area.
"I would urge residents to keep their doors and windows closed as the incident is producing a lot of smoke, and to stay away from the area."
An investigation will be carried out when the fire is completely extinguished.
