Crews extinguish lorry fire on M11
Crews have extinguished a lorry fire on the M11.
We were called to the southbound carriageway, between junctions 9 (Saffron Walden) and 8 (Bishop's Stortford), today at 8.01pm.
Crews from Newport, Saffron Walden (two) and Stansted extinguished a fire affecting a lorry trailer containing approximately 25 tonnes of beer by 9.03pm.
The road is likely to remain closed into the evening, between junctions 9 and 8, while the trailer is removed.
