CRMP 2025-2030 consultation
We ran two consultations to help shape the future of fire and rescue services in Essex.
The first consultation took place from 4 October to 17 November 2024, where we asked residents, businesses and local partners to tell us what they thought about our proposed priorities. This feedback helped us develop a draft Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) — setting out how we’ll protect people, property and the environment.
We then ran a second consultation from 8 January to 19 February 2025, giving everyone a chance to read the draft plan and share any final thoughts. These results helped us produce our final document.
Our CRMP sets out how we’ll continue making Essex safer together over the next five years - working with our communities and partners to prevent emergencies, protect people and places and respond effectively when incidents happen.
Thanks to your feedback and the input of over 6,000 residents, staff and partners, the CRMP is built on real insight and collaboration. It helps us focus on what matters most:
-
Preventing fires and other emergencies, especially among those most at risk
-
Improving safety in homes and buildings across Essex
-
Responding quickly and effectively, with the right resources in the right places
-
Supporting and developing our people
-
Investing in a sustainable future for our Service and our communities
