Two men rescued following aircraft crash
Two men have been rescued after their light aircraft crashed.
Crews were called by the Ambulance Service after the aircraft crashed into a field in Stebbing.
On arrival firefighters reported that one of the men was trapped inside the aircraft and worked to release him.
Incident Commander Scott Meekings said:
"When we arrived the aircraft was upside down.
"There was a real risk of a fire starting due to the engine and fuel, but thankfully this didn't happen.
"The rescue efforts were a multi-agency response and, incredibly, the men only suffered minor injuries. It's the best outcome we could have hoped for."
